Welcome to Sohodojo's phpPolls-extras Goodie Pack
The primary design point for the phpPolls-extras Goodie Pack is to support multi-question surveys with questions clustered into sections. Each section supports an overview statement and a resources/links annotation field.
Among the extensions we have made to phpPolls are the following:
- Edit existing poll questions
- Cluster questions in sections
- Ability to order questions within a section and to order sections within a survey
- Sections maintain HTML-aware fields for section overviews and result-reporting resource/link annotations
- Voting-booth walks through each question in the section, then to the next section until the survey is complete
- Results reporting by section with Previous and Next section links dynamically generated for easy results navigation
- Ability to 'freeze'/close voting on a section but allow its results to be reported along with other sections
- Optional use of phpLIB authentication for admin control panel
- More as we think of them and as they are added...

About Till Gerken's phpPolls version 1.0.3
Our phpPolls-extras Goodie Pack is an extension to the Open Source scripts, phpPolls (version 1.0.3), written by Till Gerken. Till's useful collection of scripts is offered under the GNU General Public License and is an Open Source Project hosted at phpWizard.net.
The original phpPolls scripts are excellent for including "What do you think?" single-question, interactive polls on your website. That original functionality is still here. A few of our presentation formatting tweaks, however, will slightly modify the HTML generated by the original phpPolls 1.0.3 version APIs. These tweaks are cosmetic and preserve the underlying phpPolls functionality.
About Sohodojo - Home of the nanocorp
Sohodojo is a self-organizing and self-managing business/community which serves as The Entrepreneurial Free Agent and Dejobbed Small Business R&D Lab. Our TechSIG is developing the phpPolls-extras Goodie Pack to support a public service project in conjunction with the North Carolina Chapter to the National Federation of Independent Business and UNC-TV, the public broadcasting service of North Carolina.
These scripts run on website servers which support PHP and MySQL. We are offering these scripts under GPL-license for free so other websites, especially other small business websites, can create and host surveys like you see at the Sohodojo/NFIB-NC Small Business Issues Voter Information Center, a public service project in support of the state election in North Carolina, USA.
Thank you for your interest in our phpPolls-extras Goodie Pack.
